A trip to St Patricks Stream via the Thames launching and returning to Wargrave. Distance is approx 5 miles so is suitable for beginners.
This would cover the basics of solo canoeing including rescue. It would enable you to take a canoe out with unqualified passengers as long as they can swim.
Have you done the Discover course in a kayak?, here's a chance to cross train to canoe, to enable you to safely maneuver and recover from a capsize. This hopefully get you signed off as competent to handle a canoe.
