The BCCC has a variety of friendly instructors and coaches ready to take your paddling skills to new heights, once you have completed the Discover Award or have enough skill to advance to the British Canoeing Explore Award level.
Explore Courses: intermediate level paddlers (Discover Award and above)
The Explore course is aimed at people who are looking to take your paddling skills to the next level. You will learn to paddle different crafts to find what type of craft better suits you. The course involves a day trip away from the club and teach you what is needed to plan ahead, what kit you need, and how to contribute to the planning of the trip. This includes contingencies to allow for bad weather, mishaps and escape routes. You will also gain an understanding of a location and how to access it. This course will enable you to become more confident in paddling your chosen craft independently in a sheltered water environment.
2024 Explore courses: dates TBA

Pool Training
Throughout the summer months, we have occasional pool sessions to help improve your confidence when practicing capsize drills and rescues. These take place at the Aldershot Lido and are open to paddlers of all abilities. Club members should look out for announcements via Spond and B3C Matters for dates.
