St Patricks Stream off the River Thames

A very pretty backwater to discover off the Thames, launching from Wargrave, paddling upstream on the Thames through Shiplake lock and another mile or so, to return via St Patricks Stream and the River Loddon. Around 5.5 miles and suitable for beginners. This will depend on the condition of the stream and if the fallen trees at the beginning are more passable than my last visit. an alternative route  may be the Hennerton Backwater or an out and back to Henley. Lifts for people and kayaks may be available
